Looking for non-metallic punched, pressed and water-jet cut parts?
Bluemay Weston, manufactures custom products including washers, shims, gaskets, bottle cap liners, seals and other precision cut parts.

Bluemay Buffalo Bolts were originally developed over 50 years ago by Bob Butcher, (one of the founders of the company) under our own patent to provide a superior plastic fastening solution. By insert-moulding a range of precision-engineered bolt head designs onto our own high-quality plastic threaded rod, we created a bolt that delivers significantly greater strength and reliability than conventional fully moulded alternatives. This process also provides a more cost-effective solution than machining from bar, while ensuring improved consistency, dimensional accuracy and overall product quality.
Manufactured in-house using Bluemay threaded rod, Bluemay Buffalo Bolts are available with a wide selection of head types including panel, hexagon, coach, cheese, eye and wing. The threaded section is produced from nylon 66, offering excellent tensile strength and load-bearing performance, while the heads are moulded from nylon 6 to enhance impact resistance and durability. This carefully engineered material combination results in a bolt that is exceptionally strong yet lightweight.
Bluemay Buffalo Bolts also provide outstanding resistance to corrosion and vibration, making them ideal for demanding industrial and moisture-prone environments. In addition, they offer excellent thermal and electrical insulation properties, making them suitable for applications where conductivity must be minimised.
For alternative applications, Bluemay Buffalo Bolts are also available in polypropylene and with coloured heads to support identification, aesthetic requirements or specific operational needs.
Our Buffalo Bolts combine a nylon 66 threaded rod, offering high tensile strength, with a nylon 6 moulded head for improved impact resistance.
Produced using a precision insert-moulding process, the head is securely bonded to the rod, creating a lightweight yet exceptionally strong bolt with excellent resistance to corrosion, vibration and electrical conductivity.
